Project Overview
This job focused on the back wall of a Brooklyn property, addressing water infiltration points from the first floor up to the third. Work began at the first-floor rear door, where the i-beam area between the windows needed attention. The brick joints were ground out, the surface washed, and waterproof pointing applied to seal the gap properly.
The top of that same door's i-beam was then covered with brick, closing off an exposed section that could allow moisture in over time. Up on the third floor, the area beneath the deck door and under the window received the same treatment — joints ground out and pointed, with additional pointing done under the deck door where it was needed.
Once the detail work was complete, the entire rear wall was coated top to bottom with thorocoat waterproofing, giving the surface a continuous, protective barrier against water penetration.
